AI Citation Checklist

Checklist for citing AI tools (APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago 17).

Did you name the specific AI tool used (e.g. ChatGPT-4, Claude 3.5)?
Did you record the date of the interaction?
Did you note the version / model number?
Did you keep a copy of the prompt(s) you used?
Did you keep a copy of the AI's output (in an appendix)?
Did you disclose your use of AI in a methodology note?
Did you check your institution's policy on AI use?
Did you cite both AI and primary sources, not AI alone?
